About Me

Hi I'm Carmel, Carmel Jones - Dog Walker and Pet Minder, a local to Raymond Terrace, and an avid animal lover.

I was introduced to animals at a very young age, when my parents bought me a puppy to grow up with. At the age of three I had broken in the puppy, and so moved on and up to my first horse, and by five was trying to train my first cat (sure I was failing, but I was trying). Yes I was raised on a farm, and so grew up with a love for all animals great and small.

When I was in my early teens I started working as a horse groom, and by 16 was already the head groom at the stables. My love of animals has throughout this time continued to grow.

In more recent times I have completed my Animal Attending and Animal Care & Husbandry courses at TAFE. I have also been involved in numerous zoos across Australia. From Perth Zoo working with the Orangutans, to Australia Zoo, and finally at Canberra Zoo, where I was given the honour of having the keys to the kingdom (enclosures)!

Since moving to Raymond Terrace, I have been told by my husband "No More Pets" and so have been limited to just numerous Cats, Dogs, Rabbits, Horses, Reptiles and Fish. Yes he has learnt to turn a blind eye on occasion. But I do not wish to push it too far, so in the hope of meeting new four legged friends, I have decided to start my own dog walking and pet minding business.

Minding your pets the way you would want them minded, not in a cage at some vets, or shut away in a compound, but in your own home and yard, where they feel safe and happy.  My animals are my kids, and I am pedantic about them, so if you would like your furry friend to get the best of treatment why not give me a call, I am happy to cater to your pets needs.

Never quite enough time...

Is your dog getting a little lax, dare we say pudgy?

Are they at home, feeling lonely and a little bored?

Maybe chewing up the plants, the washing, or the postman?

Well give me a call, I would love to take them out for some exercise.

It will help relieve their boredom, get them fit, and keep them happy. It might even save the postie....
